1 c shortening
1 1/2 c brown sugar
1/3 c molasses
3 eggs
3 c rolled oats
2 c flour
1 T cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cloves
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 c raisins

In mixing bowl cream shortening and brown sugar; beat in molasses. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine rest; stir into batter. cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Shape into 1 inch balls and place 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets. Bake 350 deg. for 10 minutes, or till lightly browned.
