what kind of pies do you like for thanksgiving, i know the US thanksgiving is at a later date, but ours is in october. we always have pumpkin pie. i am going to volunteer for those, i like making pie. anyways do you make your pies from scratch or from the can? i make mine from the can because my family doesn't like fresh pumpkin made into pies. go figure?? i can't wait for the full thanksgiving dinner!! i love those big meals at christmas and easter and thanksgiving. yum!!

I cheat and buy the pre-made pumpkin pies by Sara Lee at Save-A-Lot for 1.79 each. You find them in the freezer section and when ready to eat them take them out the day before and thaw them out.We usually have a fruit salad of some kind too.

I love to have pumpkin and apple pies for Thanksgiving. I like the frozen ones you bake as much as homemade or restaurant bought, but the store made ones from Kmart or other grocery stores don't taste good. And the frozen ones are real cheap around the holidays.
Store bought apple pies are alright, but no where near as good as homemade. And I don't really care for them from a can.
I think for a twist it would be so great to add a banana cream pie or a chocolate silk pie this year.

We love eggnog pumpkin pie at our house. I bring it every year for Thanksgiving. I use the refrigerator crusts and canned pumpkin. I used to make my crust from scratch but the refrigerator ones are so good now and there are always coupons and sales around the holidays.

I really just like pumpkin but I'm not a big fan of pie in general. I like a good homemade apple pie or pecan in small doses.

Oh my goodness...pie! We like so many that we usually wind up with too much.

Anyway, I usually do pumpkin. I used canned pumpin but add my own spices as I like a little spicier than the recipe and I use fridge crust. We also like lemon, chocolate and razzleberry! Those are frozen but oh so good!

I make a pumpkin pie using the canned plain pumpkin, I add my own spices and make my own crust. This year I am trying a maple pumpkin pie recipe. I also make some sort of apple pie. Either regular apple or apple caramel. And pecan pie!
