Tongue Ultimate Pumpkin Pie

1 (15oz) can pumpkin
1 (14oz)sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
2 tsp cinnamon (divided)
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 graham cracker pie crust (or you canuse a reg 9 in crust)
1/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
2 Tbs flour
2 Tbs margarine
3/4 c chopped walnuts or pecans


Preheat oven to 425
With a whisk, beat pumpkin, sweet/cond milk,egg, 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. Pour into crust.
Bake 15 min.

Mix sugar, flour and rest of cinnamon; cut in butter til crumbly.
Stir in walnuts.
Remove crust from oven,reduce oven to 350
Sprinkle streusel over pie.
Bake 40 min,til set. Cool.

Serve w/cool whip

Thanks a bunch! I was just going to post asking if you had a pumpkin pie recipe, as I have used so many of your posted recipes!

This is too funny!

I was with my hubby in the grocery store today and he saw a frozen pumpkin pie with pecans on top and said it looked good (we both like walnuts better though). I told him that I had been looking for something different to make this year so I would give that a try.

Thanks for the recipe! Sounds great!

This is a really great pie!!!!

The spices really make it and give it more of a WOW than most.And the topping just adds a perfect texture...I really think yuo all will like it

anyone have any clue what 'reducing' the amount of sweetened condensed milk would do? is it possible to make with less?

Hubby was brave *or CRAZY* and went to the market for me,, so two of these are baking now One with 'real' pumpkin and one with 'canned' so I can decide if all that work was truly worth it! lol
