Cinnamon Apple Angel Food Cake

1 1/2 c egg whites (you can also sub with the egg beaters version of dry whites)
1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/4 tsp salt
1 c sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
1 1/2 c powdered sugar
1 c cake flour
Glaze:
1/3 c margarine
2 c powdered sugar
3/4 tsp cinnamon
3 Tbs apple juice/cider
Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt on med til soft peaks form.
Add sugar, 2 Tbs at a time, beating after each addition, beat til smooth and glossy and stiff peaks form. Add extracts on low speed.
Combine powdered sugar and flour, gently fold into egg mixture.
Pour into an ungreased 10in tub pan.
Bake on the lowest rack at 375 35-40 min,til top crust is golden brown and cracks feel dry.
Immediately invert cake in pan to cool completely. Loosen sides of cake from pan and remove.
For glaze, melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in powdered sugar and cinnamon.
Add apple juice slowly til glaze is thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over cake.
Note:
I like to poke a few holes in the cake to get some glaze in.
