I'm having a Blues Clues theme party for my son's 3rd birthday. I found a neat template for a cake, but I wondered if anyone had any great cake recipe ideas. I would appreciate any suggestions or ideas!

Thanks. I found this site last week. I have a pretty good idea on how to decorate it, but what I was looking for was cake recipe ideas. I thought it would be neat to have a blue cake or something fun like that.

Maybe you color a white cake with blue food coloring. Take two cups out and color them a darker blue.
Pour the lighter color of batter into the cake pan and then spoon the darker color gently into "polka Dots" before you bake it... That way maybe it would come out with coloring like Blue???
Just an idea..... if what I said made ANY sense

If you could find Blue sprinkles that weren't the sugar sprinkles then you could color a white cake blue with food coloring and then just mix in the sprinkles.... Kind of like the "funfetti" cake that you can buy....

I did a Blue's Clue's party for my oldest when she was 1, and this is the cake I did. I made a round cake, then 4 cupcakes all of which I frosted blue and arranged like a big paw. It was her 1st birthday so this was "her" cake that she pulled onto her lap and got everywhere, but it was so cute.

Good luck!
