I am so excited!!! Ds is 7.5 and has never been to the movie theatre. He has never shown any interest before and he doesn't like a lot of tension/suspense, etc. Anyway, when I saw the trailer for the new DisneyNature Earth movie, I just knew we had to go!

Ds is a nature/documentary guy and I know this will be right up his alley. I purchased advance tickets for the 5:00 pm show this Saturday, and maybe we'll take him out to dinner afterward. Honestly I never thought this day would come! I have a little booster seat for him...I wonder if they will let us bring that in?? Anyone know?

If you haven't seen the trailer yet, just google DisneyNature Earth. Just wanted to share! Oh, and if you buy tickets opening week (this week) Disney will plant one tree per ticket.

Thanks for the info. on the booster. Hey, you can come with us! I think you are within our vicinity, we'll be at Crocker Park at 5:00 pm Saturday

PS I changed my laughing smiley to just a smiley, somehow the other one didn't mean what I wanted it to convey, i.e. just a happy face. Sorry, I'm out of it today!!

I think it looks great. Please let me know if there are any sad parts. I remember dd watching one of those penquin movies and being devastated when some of them died during the movie.

I'm sure there will be Fortunately long long ago I told ds in the wild, it's eat or be eaten and that is just nature. Same with any kind of 'nature' death, I just say, "well, that is nature" and he seems to accept it! I do, however, show the proper sympathy to the animal...I don't want him to think, "Oh, so it got killed, no big deal" So I just say, "Oh, poor ___". Same goes with seeing a squished animal on the road!

LOL! I understood what you meant!

I will be really interested to know how you liked it! My younger son is 11 and I figured he'd be totally into it...he loves animals etc When we watched the ad for it and I suggested we go he looked at me like I was nuts and said "really mom?". LOL
