For anyone who's seen it and also read the book(s) I have a stupid question! LOL! Is the movie only based on the first book? I'm assuming so, but just wanted to check before I see it because I haven't read the other books yet and don't want to ruin them if it's going to give it away!

TIA!

Thanks! Now- my real question is do I WANT to see it when I haven't read all the books? Is the movie going to ruin the images in my head? (especially of Edward) I'm thinking I should wait to see it- what did you all think?

I think that you will be ok with watching the movie. It doesn't give anything away. I actually watched the movie before reading the book.

You'll be okay, if you can separate the book from the movie don't think about the book while you're watching the movie) and take it for what it's worth (good entertainment)...I'll admit the characters I had in my head were all better than on screen...except Emmett....he was the exception for me and I have a bit of a crush on him now

Yes, I think it would have been better if I hadn't read the second one before I saw the movie because I couldn't remember what I was "supposed" to know when I watched the movie. I, personally, did not like the movie at all, but I love the books so far.

Go ahead and see it! I thought they did a good job with the characters fitting as the ones in my head except for Carisle and did you all know he is married to jennie Garth in real life...just a piece of useless trivia

Watching the movie before reading the books made me invision the characters better and grasp the overall feel of it. The books are superb...the last book will bring you to tears
