I am so cheap!! LOL I HATE buying books new. I almost always buy my books at Goodwill...and if possible, I go into the bag in the bargain bin and dig for the $.29 ones!!!

I don't buy books anymore...DH and I found that we weren't re-reading them and I just found them hard to store, don't like the way they look displayed etc We do buy tons of books for the kids, but for ourselves...we use the library religiously.

I buy tons of books!! BUT I use my Mypoints points for B&N giftcards. It's something for myself since I'm on a budget now!

I go to Barnes and Noble or Borders....and I go through the clearance section. I also shop on Amazon.com (using the mommysavers link). I also trade with a few family members and friends.

I have found that yard sales are a great place to buy books. I also go to the used book store in my area. I really hate paying full price for a book, even paperbacks are pretty expensive! The only books I really like to keep are Stephen King and my very, very, very favorites that I can read over and over. (A Painted House and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn...to name a couple)
