Does anyone go to the local book store for Story Time?? Or the local library??

The closest book store to me is about 20-25 min. But I can't wait to start bringing Ashlyn to story time. I did this when the older two were younger and we always had a good time.

Anyone else??

My ds goes to story time at the library every Wednesday morning. Here you have to be 3 and the parents leave the kids for 45 minutes. (Great for running quick errands!) The storytime lady is great and he loves it. We also check out 4 or 5 books and one dvd every Wed.

We did this all the time when my kids were little. They had individual groups for ages, and we progressed through all of them at the library. We did some at bookstores, but mostly the library.

I always took my oldest to story time at the library, sadly the little guy not as much but our time seems more limited than when I just had one, Plus I have to broad of ages to go during the day with my daycare. On the plus side we have circle Story time in my living room and learned many of the songs from library time to share as well!

We were really involved with both storytimes (toddler & pre-school) at our old library. We also participated in tons of the evening activities & the summer reading program.

Here we haven't attended yet. They have two separate days for toddler and pre-school, and it's quite a bit farther away - so not as convenient. We will prob. venture more in the summer when the older kids are here.

I go to 2 story times a week. I take both my pre-schooler & toddler to the 2-3yr old session and then take the toddler back for the 12-24mth old session while dd is in pre-school. They both love it! It is one thing they look forward to everyweek.

I was taking diva to the prewalker story times - it was more a play time/music time for them. I hope to take her to the walker ones starting next week, but it happens during the time she likes to sleep.

We go to storytime at the library at least once a week. We live close to many libraries who have storytime on different days so if the mood strikes, we hit more than one.

During the summer they offer special exhibits. One we went to had snake experts who passed around different snakes. DD loved it.

Two different stores offer story time that also sell education toys that are kind of expensive. I haven't taken the girls there because I can't afford to leave with toys and some days I don't want to deal with potential fits.
