I like all kinds of movies, but I would have to say that my favorite is a good old romantic-comedy. If it has Matthew McConaughey or some other hunky dude in it all the better.
Comedy. But not stupid comedy. Dry comedy. Brain-food comedy.

I love to be scared -- either a good mental thriller or even a really well done (or sometimes even not so well done) gory thriller. I am a fool for old slasher movies.
I also love all of the old disaster movies -- The Posideon Adventure, The Towering Inferno, etc..

That's my fav too, with a good thriller in second...The more psychological the better!
i love stupid movies--like "killer klowns from outer space" and "h e l l comes to frogtown". *my favorite is a '70's subtitled kung fu move called three evil masters--it rocks.
my favorites are old movies--"gone with the wind "(you may quiz me on this film--i am an expert), "raintree county", anything with errol flynn and olivia de haviland...shirley temple stuff...old westerns...any shakespeare.
