I am over 1/2 way through book five and these rule...definately his best ever!!!

Just curious if anyone else read and loved them too.

I read the first three in high school then had to wait ages and ages for him to pick up with the series again.

I loved the series, HATED HATED HATED the ending. King even warns you that you might want to just put the book down and not read the last chapter, but theres no way I could do that. I was reading in bed when I finished it, DH was next to me watching TV... I threw the book across the room and burst into tears. Scared the crap out of my poor husband. I've never ever had that kind of emotional reaction, and I read A LOT. That being said I'd read it over again even knowing how much I hated the ending, it's just that good.

Theres a comic series coming out thats a prequel to the series. I'm not a comic fan but I want to read it!

Yes, I've read them all. I started reading King early, and after going through everything, found the first book mentioned in one list of his works & I'd never heard of it before. It was my first interlibrary loan at the library, and was hard to get ahold of since only a few libraries had it at the time. So, I had to wait forever for the rest to come out -- you're lucky you're reading them now -- no waiting in between! I am interested to hear what you think of the ending to the series. I won't say anymore because I don't want to spoil anything for you.

I haven't read any of them. Are they like science-fiction type books or straight horror stuff like his other books?
