Hey gals....how are you enjoying this months pick?? I for one am lovin' it. Got side tracked a liitle with another quick read...but I am back on track.

For those of you wondering....NO it is not too late to join in....we are going to have this book finished by the end of April (with Spring Break and EAster, we are giving a little extra time this month). At that time, I will post some discussion questions!!

Happy reading!!

I hesitate to make this comment...but I find myself picturing the look of the movie "Ever After" while reading this book. Not that the stories are the same, but the look. Anyone else?? I wish I could be more original, but I can't get that movie out of my head.

I love that movie! I see how you could associate the two, but I didn't really think about it. I just started the book last night...interesting way to open a book. I don't know if I'll be able to get into it, but I'm trying!!

Ooooohhhh.....I finally started reading (had a long road trip) and I knocked out about 350 pgs. It is slow reading, but I almost can't put it down.

Wow!! you past me...I am at around page 300. And I agree, it is slow reading...but you can't put it down. I know that this is "fiction", but how much is actually true I wonder?? It seems like all of it could be.....hummmmmmm.

I finished it last night! I read it over Spring Break. It was awesome and I couldn't put it down!! The author talks about how much is true and how much is fiction at the end in a footnote type section. It was very interesting.

I guess we will never know really what was true and not true.

I just finished mine today. We're on spring break and visiting colleges for dd so we're spending lots of time driving. Stacey, at the end of the book (mine anyway) the author answers questions and she addresses how much was fictionalized versus what was known for fact. It also had some book discussion questions at the back and gives a resource where you can find more discussion questions. After I finished the book, I read all the stuff at the end. I found it fascinating although I'm glad women aren't treated the same nowadays. I was pretty worthless for a few days, because I spent all my free time reading. Great pick!!

Yes my book has that as well....I have read through that...and some of the questions, guess it won't be too hard to come up with discussion questions this time...LOL

I have also been doing a lot of research on the internet reading through the "facts" of this time period. Very very interesting....I'm hooked. I mean, we all knew about Henry the VIII and his six wives....but this brings it all to a whole new perspective.

I am just about done...maybe today or tomorrow!!

This will be a fun one to discuss!! Can't wait!!
