Naturally I was rooting for the sailor guy!

However, now I am rooting for Melinda. She has the pipes to do well! I don't like the J.T look a like guy. The judges do and some people here do, but when I see him I want him to break out in a J.T song and do the J.T moves!!!

I love Phil Stacey's story, but he will be one of the next to go. His vocals aren't as strong as the others and he hasn't really defined his style yet.

In the final two I'd love to see Blake and Melinda. Blake brings style and uniqueness to the competition this year. I love Melinda's personality and she is probably the stongest singer in the competition. However, my vote goes to Blake because I would be a lot more likely to buy his record.

I voted for Lakisha, but I, also, would like to see Blake up there. I think that Melinda can really sing, but there is something about her that bugs me, and I just can't move past it.

I really think that Phil did well last week with the Police song. I hope he sticks around.

I would really like to see Haley go. She may have the looks, but I agree with Simon, she just doesn't have any *oomph* that separates her from any other girl singer ~ that and her comment awhile back about punching in and punching out, that really turned me off toward her.

I have been back and forth about this...In the beginning I really really liked Lakisha and Melinda. Lakisha lately, just isn't doing it for me and Melinda...smack me if you want to, I can't get past the fact that her head always looks like it's floating above her shoulders. She has no appearance of a neck. Her vocals are WONDERFUL but I can't get past the neck thing.
I like Phil and Phils story, but I don't see him lasting, though I LOVED his song this week (Police)He did GREAT.
I know I'm prob in the minority here, Blake is only okay for me, when he SINGS he is great, but everytime he 'beatboxes' it ruins the song for me. I hate it. This week he did awesome. Why? No beatbox!
So when it came down to who would make the best American Idol...she's young, but I'm rooting for Jordin (with Melinda as my second as long as I never have to go see her perform). But IMO, those 2 fit the best "American Idol" persona.

I like Blake. I have like him since the beginning.

1) He is modern. He doesn't do music from the 60's unless he has to.
2) HE CAN SING

I'm tired of Melinda and Lakisha. They had a choice of so many songs this week and what do they pick...Donna Summers. Both of them. Give me a break. Get current.

I also think Phil did really good this week. I was very surprised to see him in the bottom 3.

Haley is OK, but she needs to go. She's just not up there with some of the others.

If I had to predict the finale...I would say it will be Blake and Melinda. They seem to be the strongest.

I like Blake, he is a singer that I would buy a CD. Even my hubby and that is saying a lot about AI...lol I actually like Jordan too. Although, I believe that Melinda and Lakisha are the most natuaral talents..

Jordin all the way. No one else...well maybe Blake....is as modern and hip as she is. I love her voice and i think she would fit right in with todays music. I like Lakisha and Melinda however i don't see many people rushing out to buy their cds or "records".

They both are too dated.
