Dh and I watched it this weekend. It was good, shocking, and terrifying all rolled into one. I'll never look at the wilderness in the same way again.

The 'funny' thing is that I remember little snippets from when I was growing up. I can't believe that my parents who guarded just about everything I watched on TV let me watch parts of this!!

I had heard of it, usually little comments about "Deliverance country" or something, but I hadn't watched it until I was in my late 20's. It shocked me. I saw it again the other night and it still shocked me. yikes....

I've only seen parts of it, mostly the notorious "squeel like a pig" scene and of course the banjo music.

I saw it in my high school english class. I remember it was very disturbing but thought it was very well done.

I have been wanting to see it but just never get to it. IS it about people who live in woods and they are very strange? Horror movie right?

I wouldn't classify it as a horror movie. It's basically about southern country backwater hick hill folk who come upon 4 city guys out for a canoeing weekend and...well...do something to one of the guys.

I saw snippets of it when I was a kid. I was really naive back then, so most of it went over my head. I finally saw the whole movie about 6 months ago. One viewing was enough for me.
