I'm happy for Jordin - she's talented enough, she's young (as they repeatedly tell us) so she doesn't have any real musical identity yet & she will be moldable & cooperative. I think that's just what the Idol folks wanted this year after having to argue w/ Taylor about everything last year. Blake - I enjoyed him but he did not want to win it. He made no effort to do anything w/ that horrible coronation song - I think he did not want to have to sing that dreck for the next year. He says he wanted to wear a "vote for Jordin" T shirt on Tuesday, but they wouldn't let him. Also, he won the coin toss and everyone who wins the toss goes last, as that is the best spot. He let Jordin have that spot. He knows that sometimes it's better to not come in first & be stuck w/ the baggage that comes with it. Bette Midler should never be allowed to sing that song again. She was awful.

You are NOT Alone...I am not a Green Day Fan and when they announced the remake I thought UGH...and ended up LOVING it...
I saw they were going to run over and really quick tivo'd the news afterwards so that DD could watch the entire thing today....good thing I was watching the time!

And gotta say...Kelly Clarkson STOLE THE SHOW with her new single and her and Joe Perry on Sgt Pepper...they were fantastic.

I also have to add, much to my DH chagrin...I liked Sanjaya's performance with Joe Perry...I can't help it, I just liked it

ME TOO I could not beleive it!

I'm proud of Jordin and glad she won! I like Blake as a person but didn't think he was as talented as she was. I have always loved Bette Midler but I agree. She did not do well last night.

I'm glad jordin won too- she has a hit on her hands with that song!!

Overall, the season wasn't as exciting as in past...but that's bound to happen I guess
