I am glad Jordin won...but I really felt for Blake (Shocker!)....I guess they all expected it, but did it have to be said so many times over and over...he still did an outstanding job, that last song just wasn't his 'type' and he didn't pull it off....

I must say though...I am a Bette Midler fan and her performance last night, IMO, was terrible...She would have never made it through to the top 6 on AI

And just for Kelli...I happened to be munching on peanuts when Blake and Doug E Fresh were performing....guess where they ended up? Yup, thrown at the TV, and I told Rob you would have expected nothing less....he too knows how I feel about beatboxing and he laughed the entire performance because I was cringing so badly....and then throwing my snack.....

I have to say, as much as I really did like Blake ~ it was no surprise Jordin won. She can sing. Now we'll just have to see how she does out in the real world.

The American Idol song would have never done well with Blake singing... I wanted him to win!! But I think he will do better with his own music.

We didn't watch it b'c the season finale of LOST was on at the same time.. After watching LOST, tuning in to see Sanjaya perform would have been more entertaining.

I was not surprised. Last nights show was pretty good. There were a few performances I could have done without, but all-in-all, it was good.

It did go over by 5 or 10 min.. They broke to commercial at 8:58 and Caitlin thought they would switch to another show & nearly lost it! Oh to have THAT be the most important thing in your life!

I was glad Jordin won. Blake can take his beat-boxing elsewhere. That drove me bonkers. And Shell, I totally agree about Bette Midler's performance. I looked at Dave & told him that she was butchering her own song! It was bad.

What was the deal with Bette Midler?? I love that song and tried to sing along and couldn't!!! I was sooo disappointed.

Am I alone in my love for Green Day's performance of Lennon's "Working Class Hero?" I thought it was absolutely amazing--I can't wait to buy the album (it's available through Amnesty International's website) June 12th!!!! The money raised helps those in Darfur.

Billie Joe Armstrong looked adorable with his crazy black hair & his denim jacket--and oh my God, those forearms playing that guitar. YUMMY!
