Thank you all for your suggestions.....it was a VERY hard task to narrow down the long list you all gave me!! I tried to pick at least one book from all who gave suggestions, while making sure we had a good mix. So if one of yours didn't make it this time....look next month, because it will be on that vote. (I won't ask for suggestions next time.. )

Here are the books with the link to Amazon..so that you can check out what each book is all about!

The one I voted for is on the way... I am so excited to read it. I started reading Night by Elie Wiesel... he was a Holocaust Survivor who wrote a few books about his experiences in the camp and after his rescue. This one is about the time he spent in the camps. Very very sad, but well written.

Yeah, I am predicitable, but I will read whichever! I am really open to all of them. I just HAVE one of them which would make it easy!

I forgot how much I do like to read! Now if these darn kids would LET me! But, they are fun, too, and I am reading new things with them. I remember my Mom reading Heidi to me as a child and she recently gave me the copy to read to my daughter.

Wow this is a close vote.....and wouldn't be much of a discussion with only a few people reading the "winner". Unless you are ALL willing to read the "winner".

How about this idea.....Let's take the rest of the summer...and read as many of these books as we can....and then we will have a mixed discussion.....what do you guys think....can we make that work??
