YES THEY ARE RIVALS! Holy cow! It is like watching a father who does not approve of his daughter's choice in husband. I think there was conflict from the start. The fact that she is Queen of England only exacerbates the problem. I do think he cares for her, but he does have political ambitions that can't be denied.
