Do you have a favorite chair or spot in the house somewhere that you like to read?
Can you read with a t.v. or radio on? Or is it too distracting?


I like to read in one certain spot on the couch,usually with my legs curled up and off to the side and lots of pillows around me. I can read with the t.v. on but the volume cannot be too high, which is usually why i don't read in the same room when Dh is watching t.v. because he's got the t.v. blaring all the time.
I can read in bed, but i cannot read sitting up and leaning against the headboard. I am a stomach sleeper,so i prefer to be laying on my stomach in bed while im reading. A few times i have fallen asleep with my face in a book literally, good thing i didn't drool at the time!

When i do read it's usually in my bed before i go to sleep. I just pile pillows up behind me and sit that way.

When I do read I am usually in bed. I do read when I am on the couch also. I wish that I had a sitting area off my bedroom that had a big comfy chair in it that I could sit and read in.

I like to read where it is quiet. I LOVE to read in the bathtub!!! I enjoying reading by the pool or by the beach. I also read alot when I am waiting on the kids. I just LOVE to read.

Anywhere there is quiet. Sometimes I can read with dh watching tv, but it has to be such a good book I cant put it down. Most of the time though, there are so many distractions with the tv and the kids.... I need quiet.

I read in the recliner while DH watched TV after we have sent the little ones to bed.

Well, my FAVORITE place is in the tub with some Enya playing and a candle lit.

BUT THAT NEVER HAPPENS!!

So, usually I am either in my rocking chair....or in bed...but then I fall asleep before I want too.

In the summer when no one is around (VERY rarely) I love to sit on my porch swing and read! Otherwise usually in my bed with lots of pillows propped up!

in the winter I like to sit in the leather recliner wrapped up in a quilt in front of a roaring fire in the fireplace.

if the summer I like to either sit or lie on the patio furniture or on my bed where the A/C is

At home I read in our computer room, we have a big comfy recliner in there that's just perfect to curl up in w/ a book. I also love to sit on the front porch at my in-laws and read in the summer, they live far from anyone and it's just so peaceful there, and it seems like there's always a breeze blowing across that porch! Fil has two rocking chairs out there, and I could sit there for hours reading.
