I caught bits and pieces of it. Thought the whole deer scene was stupid, sorry ladies.

Someone explain how the new doctor is related to Meredith, do they have the same dads. It's not the same girl who last season had the baby is it?

I have to admit last season was not my favorite for them, got tired of the soap opera stories and the whiney attitudes. Hopefully this season is better.

I watched last night and thought it was "okay". I think the new half sister of Meredith could be an interesting character. I'm still sad about Christina and Burke though....they were the only couple I really liked on the show. I HATE George with Izzy. I HATE Meredith with McDreamy. I wish they'd get McSteamy with someone.

Lexie and Meredith have the same dad. Lexie just found out a few months ago that there was another sister. She is not the one that had a baby. She was away at school. She only came back home because her mother (Susan) died from a simple procedure in the hospital that went wrong. Thatcher (Lexie and Merediths dad) blames Meredith for it.

Yeah I got a chance to watch it tonight! I liked it, but like Shell am a bit annoyed with next weeks previews. I feel bad for Callie with the George situation.

Absolutely STUPID! I almost got up and walked away from it......but I just couldn't. I guess they were trying to show Izzys "nurturing" side or something.

I have been obsessed with Grey's Anatomy since the beginning. Last summer I could NOT wait for the season to start. This year I just haven't been as crazy about it. The season opener did not do much to keep me going, we'll try again next week. Izzie drives me nuts. Everything about her drives me nuts. The deer thing was crazy.

This is what bugs me about Meredith & the half sister Lexi - Lexi should not be 1 year behind Meredith's internship. She should be like, 5 or 6 years behind her! Assuming Meredith's parents stayed together for a LITTLE while when she was a kid, then they broke up, and Meredith's dad remarries. Let's say he remarries immediately & has kids right away. The daughter who had the baby last year was probably first, then Lexi. At best, if he left Meredith when she was 1 and had 2 kids right away, that Lexi would still be 3 years behind her. But most likely more like 6-8 years. There is no way she'd be following her in med school this closely.
And, agreed, the deer bit was stupid. And Lexi pretending that George delivered a baby his first day will just backfire when the others realize he's repeating his year.

I also thought about this. The only logical explanation would be if Meredith didn't go directly to med school, but they never really addressed anything like that. Plus, Meredith does look like she should be at least 5 years older than Lexi, Lexi looks really young!
