I never minded the auditions part until last year when it seemed they highlighted far too many "bad" singers and we hardly got to see anyone who actually made it thru! And the judges were much crueler to the poor singers last year.

Season 5 was still the best for me - none will match that year. Did I mention that my Taylor Hicks Fan Club kit came in the mail today? I have my mini-harmonica necklace on right now. My husband laughed his -ss off! I got the membership so I could get presale tix to the shows, and it was totally worth it for the 6th row seats. But now I have my necklace and a few other things. Totally embarrassing but fun. What the heck?
