There is one thing I simply don't get ... Aren't there thousands of young, talented, bright and pretty girls just dying for a chance to star in a TV series or movie? WHY does JL Spears or Brittany for that matter have to still be employed? I don't see the draw. I don't see any talent that makes them unique. I personally know girls who are FAR more talented. What happened to the network simply telling J L, "Gee, you're not quite the look we were going for in this series. Sorry."

I Don't Mind the show Zoe 101 - But her and Her Voice Drove me crazy.

I have always thought of Her and Brittney to be whiney bratty type of girls.
Well, I don't think you will be hearing it much longer. I'm thinking this is a huge blow to her career. She will be forever known for this. Maybe in many years she will be able to get sitcom work but I don't see her being a huge movie star. Maybe this is her passive aggressive way of not having to support her mom anymore. Momma Spears is getting desperate, though. She's already sold the unborn baby pics to OK magazine for 1 million which, btw, I think is completely gross pimping out the baby's image like that.

I think the biggest message that could be sent right now is from Nickolodeon pulling that show immediatly. This would tell the young kids watching this that what has happened is not OK. But they are getting as much press about this as JL, helloooooo ratings are probably soaring to see if there is a "bump" or not.
(Contrary to some of the posters beliefs on here, I as well do NOT believe teen pregnancy is right, nor do I "support" JL. I feel for her, I feel for any teen parent as they have NO idea what they are actually in for. I am going to educate my DD as much as possible and leave that door of communication open. I'm not going to be that mom and think my DD is an angel. If, on some off chance she would come home pregnant, God hlep us......I will be throughly angry and disappointed. Will I kick her to the curb? God no. I will support her and love her as much as I did before she was pregnant. END OF STORY)

As another poster said, she probably will not feel what every new mom feels in the morning by getting up. SHe has enough money to get nannies and what nots.
I hate the idea that mama Spears has already made a deal(or several deals with OK mag) to interview JL about her cravings, baby names, and if they found out the sex of baby or not. Then after the baby is born, to show teen mama JL with new baby. Do I think this family is stable by any strech of the imagination? God NO! Do I think it is sad that when that issue of OK magazine comes out, it will probably sell out? Yes because our society thrives on drama!

Areafinn.....there is no reason for you to quit posting. Subjects get heated, it makes for good discussions and vents. No one got hurt here, did they? Keep posting girl.

I thought everyones opinions were quite interesting. It is what makes the world go round, right ladies?

what i wanted to comment on is this - i think what angers most people is that this is yet another celebrity "no no" that is becoming more and more glorified as each day passes. our young kids are being subjected more and more to adult "stuff" that their tween celebs get themselves into and as parents the only way to control it is to forbid the stuff in our homes. the celebrity limelight is all over the place now, so if you intend on taking away all tv, computers, magazines, music...then you're up a creek

teens having sex? nothing new...for anyone. but its the moral standard that has gotten so low that now unwed teen moms are apart of the norm - and like it or not, our young kids do look up and revere these celebs. reading seventeen magazine is much different when i was 17 compared to now...now 17 mag is a thinner version of cosmo.

so each time mtv, vhi allows a show with a bit more sexual or violent content, another piece of childhood is chipped away. every time the kids tune into disney or nick at 7pm and the adults are perceived as idiots and the kids all are fashionistas, another chip. when the videos of their favorite songs are near **** mini movies, another chip. when we allow our kids to watch the "adult cartoons" ...another chip.

believe me, in 7 mos from now or whenever the baby is born, this will be big media and it will flash on every news channel, even fox that jlynn had her baby and both baby and mommy are just fine. she'll return to some type of tv as some paid nanny watches the kid and be rewarded for looking beautiful and bringing in cash for the network.

ok! off my .02

Jamie Lynn has been through more than most 16 year olds and will now go through still more. God Bless them and be with them, ALL! STOP PEOPLE! Have you ever taken a moment to consider that people like us who dwell and say bad things may be making life harder for these people? Just let the poor girl be, so she doesn't end up like her sister. She could still turn out ok. She needs support of other mothers, not their judgement. I know that the moment we all saw those two little lines it sunk in that we were someone's mommy. She should not have to worry about what other mothers think of her. She doesn't have the option of going onto a website and seeking support, we do. What would you say to her if she were to log on right now? I hope not what you have been spouting off about. She is a person too.

Ditto, Just because Jamie Lynn is in the public eye does not give anyone the right to judge her. She made a mistake and so does thousands of other girls her age. I say support her, she has already made the hardest decision by going public. As far as prosecuting the boy, this is exactly what is wrong with the whole sex offender system. He is a normal teenage boy who had sex with a normal teenage girl. Sex is normal and sex at 16 is normal. It isn't like Jamie is 12 or 13. Branding this boy as a sex offender is not the answer.
