Mom admits lie won ‘Hannah Montana’ tickets - Music - MSNBC.com

In attempts to get Hanna Montana tickets a mother and her daughter made up a story about the girl losing her father in the Iraqi War. I believe the mother's comment was, "We did whatever we had to do to win."

You know, there are some motivated people in this world ... too bad they can't be motivated to do anything useful!

It is scary that we have to co-exist with people like this.

This story makes me sick! There are families out there with service members overseas and children of their own who are HM fans and see something like this. They sacrifice so much and don't make a big deal about it, or play the sympathy card to be rewarded things.

I just don't know how a person like this woman could use such deceitful tactics and boast about it knowing the state of the world right now. It's maddening to think her daughter is also learning something from this behavior too.

SHAMEFUL!

According to CNN, they took the prize from her and are giving it to another little girl.

This is what I just heard too...

I just caught the news, and it showed someone interviewing the little girl and how the Mom was behind her motioning to her NOT to comment when someone asked her "So, you wrote a letter?" Then the Mom motioned, the interviewer SAW HER and said, "Oh, you don't want her to talk about it?" THAT was a big yellow flashing sign saying something was up!! Plus, they showed some woman being interviewed (not sure if it was the Mother or not) who said, "She just made up a story! She didn't know it had to be TRUE!" HELLO!!!!!! The nerve of some people never cease to amaze me.

And I agree with Christy. There are SO MANY deserving military kids and families that deserve things like this that NEVER would think to pull the military card - and then someone like this comes out of the woodwork. Makes me ill.

I wonder if the contest guidelines had anything in them about lying so perhaps this idiot egg donor could be charged with fraud. I'm calling her an egg donor, because a real mother doesn't make up a horrible story like this one that is so similar to other children that unfortunately are true, then teach her child to lie.
