My friend is coming over Saturday for coffee, and my dh is taking my ds out. I was going to suggest they go to the movies. But the only thing playing is The Spiderweb Chronicles. Would this be appropriate for a 5 yr old to see? TIA!

I started watching it online but was bored about 15 minutes into it. I didn't see anything that would upset a 5 yr old but I didn't watch the whole thing either. I have heard there are some scary scenes in it.

We took our kids and their cousins age 5-7 and the scariest thing was at the end when Mulgurath takes on the form of the kid's father and then morphs into his true Form. That scared my Dd a bit but Ds who is 6.5 loved it beacause he likes all those fantasy type creatures. My personal opinion...the movie was okay..Nothing I would watch twice. If your son isn't "scared" by goblins and creatures I would say it is fine.
