I watched it the other day just because I was a little curious. It was just so dumb. No, the people are not surprised by the questions, because they've been asked them before while hooked up to the lie detector. And of course they only bring people on who have major issues already. Why would you air your dirty laundry and embarrass/hurt people you love for a chance at money like that?
