I am with you on this one. It is about time Oprah did serious journalism again. Lately it has been fluff stories. This topic every one in America should be outraged about.

She did a story about this not too long ago. She talked about the nightwalkers (kids who have to leave smaller villages, walk to the city, and be placed cages so the militia cannot kidnap them and make them be soldiers.

I think everyone should watch this. It is horrible that America has done nothing to stop the slaughter of hundreds of thousands of people just because they are certain group of muslims.

There's a lot we haven't done - Look at the slaughters in Africa, Bosnia, and how long it went on in Iraq. Unfortunately, we can't be everywhere. I truly wish the world would combine and come down hard on these situations. We can't do it all. Look at all the infighting at NATO - some peace organization, huh? The worst is when you look in the children's eyes in the pictures and see absolute emptiness there. Not even grief or loss of hope. Just emptiness, which is why it's so easy to recruit them. I know it sounds silly, but that is one of the reasons we weren't sure we were going to have children; bringing them into such a world. Then I realized, first of all, that there are good spots, and secondly, it just be my child that helps make a difference. Tonight he stated that when he grows up he is going to be the President. Plus a Power Ranger and a teacher. Hey, he's six. I told him he can do all that if that's what he chooses to do.
