Of course we all know this is a hopeless show anyway since not one stinking one of the bachelors has ever gone on to marry or even have a very long term relationship. But I still couldn't believe he chose Shayne. Here he's a proper Brit from a proper family and does financial things and said he wanted a woman he could have deep intelligent conversations with. So who does he marry....a 22 year old bleached white blonde with an exaggeratedly sprayed on tan, who is from a family of whackos who've all been married a zillion times and who wants to be an actress.

So am I the only one that thinks this is another short term situation, or do you all think it's a match made in heaven and they'll live happily ever after???

I did NOT agree with his choice. IMHO I think both girls he had stayed with were pretty odd but he did pick the worst one.
I'm looking forward to seeing the Bachelorette though.

I usually do watch the Bachelor but I have only watched a few minutes here and there and nothing kept me watching. With that said, I DID watch the finale. I didn't know much about either girl so I didn't know who he should pick. It seemed the other girl was a better match for him just in that show.

I know the bachelor usually ends up not marrying the girl he chooses but i THINK Byron and mary are still together - but not married??? I don't know. Did they do any updates on this season?

I am anxious to watch Bachelorette too. I liked DeAnna and felt bad for her when Brad went all cold feet on her.

Yes, the bachelorettes usually end up with their guys (3 of the 4 I think). I heard something about a year ago about Mary hitting Byron and getting arrested or something. Can't remember the details.

I KNEW, KNEW, KNEW from the beginning he was gonna pick that girl. he seemed like he was gonna bust out of his pants every time they were together. And the way he had the little nickname for her "monkey," or whatever. I doubt it will last.....but who knows...

I didn't watch this season of the Bachelor, even though I normally do. From what you said it sounds like it has failure written all over it. Anyone who wants to be an actress that ends up on The Bachelor is just doing it for the publicity IMO. I will be tuning in for The Bachelorette, however. I liked Deanna.

I was a fan of Shayne over Chelsea, so I was happy. Do I think it will last??? No, not really!

Did you guys see them on Ellen today?? I didn't watch the show, but I watched a bit of Ellen. Basically, he claims he knew it was her the moment he met her. And when asked about kissing all those other girls all season long, he says he texted her each time the show was on and said "Thats 'Bob'" Who he claims is his alter ego, not him.
