I have the song Shine from this movie going round and round in my head. I know I've heard it somewhere before, but I'm not sure where. Was it a pop song recently?

I don't know if this is the same one, but take a look at it in Wikipedia.

Shine is the first hit single by post-grunge band Collective Soul. Released in 1993 on the album Hints, Allegations, and Things Left Unsaid, "Shine" became the #1 Album Rock Song of 1994, and won a Billboard award for Top Rock Track. [citation needed]
In 2001, Dolly Parton recorded a Bluegrass cover of "Shine". Parton's recording of the song earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.

I know exactly what you mean Erin+3! That song has been killing me to figure it out- even with the commercial I start singing different lyrics to it. I keep wanting say something about "out of a darkness and into light" right before it gets to the shine part. I think it has the same exact song composure as a different song with different lyrics. For some reason I am thinking of Faith Hill or a different country singer that would be played on a light FM station all the time, the song had to be out for over 3 years (Before I had my youngest I had an office job where we had to listen to a light FM radio station and I am positive I have heard this song before on that radio station). I have to look into it more, it is driving me nuts!!!
