Why try to find a new job when you can work at home with your current job?

I know this won't apply to everyone and it probably won't apply to even a small percentage, but it did for me! I work in information technology for a very large bank in the U.S. I work from home sometimes after hours but then asked if I could work from home full time and they said no problem it actually saves both of us money!

They now allow me to work from home 100% of the time, pay for my phone service and Internet service along with office supplies. Couldn't be any better.

So you don't always have to look for something new - just look at what you currently have.

Do you use them?

I don't so much. But my DH has about half of his educational consultants on his Facebook. It works great. Keeps them remembering him and our business even when we were out of it for it for a bit. He just got a message on Thursday from a consultant (a BIG consultant) asking him to contact her secretary to set up a time to "talk". He got the secretary on the phone, who originally wasn't very friendly, and, in the course of their conversation he was able to help her with a question she had about Facebook (one that she had asked five other people about) and now, as she told him, he's her BFF. :Ha Ha: And he also got the interview time. :Thumb Up:

Anyone heard of them/work for them? I did an online webcast with them the other day... but I'm really just on the fence with the whole thing. I've tried selling (and failed) Mary Kay.. and I just don't want to put the effort into another dead end business.

I currently work full time, but the work isn't jiving well with my young family. Since going back to work they've put me on swing shift (something I've never had to do before) and it's seriously NOT working. I'm looking into other avenues right now, but there isn't much in my line of work. Sooo... I'm now looking into different work from home oppertunities. Any suggestions/direction would be greatly appreciated.

I can't. I know, awhile back when I was working retail management, and figuring out how to get people to buy the highest markup of things, I grew very ill thinking about it. Here I was selling junk that people didn't need to people who couldn't afford it. I had to move on.

Now shoes, those I could sell, as long as it was a product that I believed in. I had the highest sells for Doc Martens in the entire store. :Ha Ha: Not that is a product that I believed in. I couldn't sell the Timberlands though, not because I didn't believe in them, but because I didn't quite understand their sole system. :Ha Ha: Too hard to believe in.

My DH, a man that we always junk about selling anything, we learned a couple of years ago, that he is completely incapable of selling a product that he doesn't believe in. A great quality in your spouse but not always a great quality in the provider of the home.
