I 've been shopping at Shoprite for about 2 years now and they have never giving me an issue about doubling coupons, EVER. The general rule of thumb is if the coupon starts with a 9 or a 5, they won't double. But any other coupon just automatically doubles. They don't fully double, unless the value of the coupon is less than the cost of the item.

SO today I made a point to have .40 coupons for my Gogurts. They should have doubled to .80. YES it does say on the coupons 'do not double', but as I've said, when they scan the coupon, it automatically doubles. I had ALOT of coupons today. So she is scanning away and the other coupons are doubling automatically, till she gets to the last 2 gogurt coupons and manually punches them in so they don't double. ugh

SO I ask her, is there a problem with them? She says "No, it says DND on them" I was like, true, but normally when they are scanned, they double anyway. So she goes on to explain about how they aren't supposed to do that, no one is trained right, its just lazyness on thier part, she has been there for 15 years and she knows not to do it, thier drawers must be off at the end of the night, blah blah blah. She is talking so much and worrying about NOT doubling 2 whole coupons on me, that she forgets to do my bag credit! I had 8 bags!

SO I go out to the car, load up my groceries, go back in the desk and tell the kid I never got my bag credit. While I"m there, I explain that she wouldn't double 2 of my coupons, when she scanned about 15 other coupons and THOSE doubled. He apologizes to me, and said she should have just scanned them, then gave me back 1.20! The problem is we only have a local grocery store here and an HEB. My local grocer's ad can be pulled up off their website and I just print it out but I've tried viewing HEB's weekly ad in Firefox and IE and it just will not come up for me.

Is it just me? Target has their canned veggies on sale for 45 cents a can. (Limit of 12) There is also a coupon in the paper this week for $1 off 8 Del Monte products (fruit, veggies, etc.)

So when you buy 8 and use the coupon you get them for $0.325 per can! :Thumb Up:

In order to use more than one coupon you'd have to make more than one transaction because of the limit of 12 (even though 45 cents a can is still a really good deal in my book. I stocked up when Krogers had them on sale for 50 cents a can with the $1 off 10 coupon that Del Monte had!)
