Have you ever found a product that worked above and beyond your expectations and, then, taken the time to write a letter of thanks to the company?

When DH and I were first married, we re-habbed a very old house. We wanted to put in a claw-foot tub, but couldn't afford a new one. We found an old, seemingly ruined tub, that had been taken from a condemned drug house. I tried everything I could imagine to clean that tub, and eventually decided it would have to be re-glazed. A friend suggested I try Scrubbing Bubbles before investing the $$ into the re-glaze. I was stunned at the fact that it actually worked!

I wrote the company and let them know my story. As a result, I received many, many, many coupons for their products.

Have you purchased any products from an infomercial?

If so, were you happy with your purchase or regretful?

Along with many, many duds, there are some very reputable dependable items that you can get a fantastic deal on, from infomercials. Remember OxyClean, ProActive, etc.

With the Christmas season coming, you know those infomercials are going to be on the rise!

We are going to finally upgrade our tv system this year. Goodbye big, bulky box tv, hello new flat screen wallmounted tv :).

What's the difference between an LCD and the LED tv's? Which one views the best? Which one lasts longer? Which one is more energy efficient?

Also looking for recommendations for Blue Ray players and surround sound systems.

Thanks!

Has anyone seen a matchbox type car "Red" - the red Fire Engine from the movie Cars?

I think I saw him advertised somewhere but now I'm not sure. I went looking at Target's, Wal-Mart's, Toys R Us, TJ Maxx, Marshalls, etc today but only saw the mini "Red" and he was blue (?). I'm hoping to get 2 regular size matchbox type cars red "Red's" - one for DS and the other for the retired Fireman who DS adores.

Thanks for your help!

This Xmas DD 5 1/2 really wants a big doll similar to her American Girl doll that was misplaced during moving a few years back.

I have seen the Madame Alexander dolls online, Avon catalog, Wal-mart, Toys R Us and heard they are also at Costco during the holidays.

All the dolls seem to be slightly different the prettiest is the toss up between Wal-mart and Avons catalog(I wont find out till Tues if they are still in stock) Is the quality different does anyone know? The prices vary $19.99-49.99
