Are all the ornaments on your tree safe for your kids (i.e. non-breakable, no little parts to choke on, etc.) or do you still hang more delicate ornaments on your tree, just up higher where the kids can't reach?

When my dd was little, I had somehow acquired a bunch of soft, pillow-like ornaments so I put those on the lower branches of my tree. I put my more delicate ornaments up higher. As my dd got older and I knew she was done putting items in her mouth, I got rid of the pillow ornaments and put regular, not-necessarily-kid-friendly-but-hasn't-been-a-problem ornaments all over the tree.

I keep all fragile stuff on top of the tree and all plastic on the bottom.
