This is the court case that I posted about yesterday!
What do you think about this court case?

My friend Karen just called me.

The Judge never ruled, he just threw it out. She never had to testify or anything.

The judge said that is what insurance policy's are for. He did tell Karen that if she wanted to pay 1/2 of the step mom's deductible, that would be a nice and probably the correct thing to do. But that he couldn't legally make her pay that.

Karen said that the judge spent most of the morning, chewing out the insurance company for wasting the court time. He stated that in the policy it stated that they would pay for vandalism of the vehicle. And that just because they knew who had cause the damage, didn't let the insurance company off of the hook.

He also told the step mom to pursue having the step son arrested, so that the juvenile authorities could take over the case.

Glad that the court tossed it out.
The insurance company should pay for what ever the policy states. I don't feel that the mom that was not there at the time of all this happening should have to even pay 1/2 her deductable either.

Personally, I can't blame the insurance company for going after the bio-mom. That's just what they do. But I agree with the judge, step-mom was negligent for not keeping a better eye on the kid while he was grounded.

I would hope they would try counseling before they have him arrested. He obviously is having some anger issues and I don't see how having him arrested him would help with that.
