All of us in our family are magazine junkies. What are your children's favorite magazines? My dd (10) loves American Girl and Discovery Girls. My ds (6) loves Ranger Rick and Your Big Backyard. Together they share National Geographic Kids, Nickelodeon, and Disney Adventures.

My 7 year old gets Nick mag and my 4 year old gets Nick Jr (well, I get the mag and she gets the pullout!). My 7 year old loves Nick mag and reads it cover to cover but my 4 year old could care less about hers. I think she's to the point where she considers Nick Jr 'baby stuff' (but still loves to watch it!). I have decided not to renew their magazines this year. It does contribute to the clutter and I figure anything worth reading is in a book or online!

We've gotten so many magazines over the years...I love magazines. I get waaaay too many.

My kids were never into any of the animal oriented magazines, Ranger Rick, Big Backyard etc I loved Ranger Rick growing up but they wanted no part of it. Same for Highlights. My MIL got them Highlights for years and years and they wouldn't even open it up.

Both of my sons get the Lego Magazine (free) and look forward to each issue. You can print out the form to sign up online. If your child likes Legos, they'll probably like the magazine!

My older son enjoys "Cobblestone" and my younger son likes "Appleseeds". Both by Cobblestone Press. They're expensive but they're worth it IMO. They really enjoy the articles.

They also get "Nick" magazine.
