Ok, you are married and have children, but your spouse either works at night or is in the military, therefore you are home with the children by yourself trying to entertain them and you don't want them watching TV. What are some suggestions for those mommy's struggling with this situation?? What do you do to entertain your kids at home??

Here are some of the things we do:

Play Uno or Crazy Eights -- it is fun simple and not a lot of clean up. And once I got them going they would play together and I could get some things done.

The ABC game...we find things around the house with "words" and look for the ABC's. We go in order and we say the word and whatever letter we are on. We each do our own alphabet, and the first one to get to Z wins. This is also a very good car game by using the billboards and other cars.
