I'd tell her that I needed a break, too, and would she mind watching my kids for a night so I could go out on a date with the hubster? I wouldn't actually leave my offspring with someone like that, but I'd love to see the look on her face.

Is she newly single? Maybe that's why she is having hard time dealing with being a fulltime parent...meaning, NO breaks.

Even though, I personally have married friends that do the same thing. They go out all of the time and just swear that if they don't get their "me" time, they will go crazy. It's funny to hear some moms defending their choices by saying it makes them a better mom! HA! A better mother would be not partying all night, not sleeping until noon...and being greatful for every waking moment they have with their children.

We all need breaks. But, my thought is I stepped up to the parenting plate, I plan on hitting the home run
