When we moved here I tried to get my boys into the academic emphasis charter school, which is also conviently located about 2 blocks from my house. They did not have a 3rd grade this year, so my oldest son could not go, there was no room in the 2nd grade , so next son could not go. My first grader could get in but I decided to keep them all together. I do really like there school, but I keep thinking that this other one is better, it just really impressed me and I have met some people whose kids go there and some people who work there. So, I decided to leave it up to my boys if they want to go there next year or not. (They will have all grades, k-6, next year) My oldest son said yes, he needs more challenging work, younger son debated it back and forth and also said the work is too easy at his school. Middle son does not want to change. This doesn't suprise me since he is not good at change and has done suprisingly well in his new environment. He only has one more year at his school anyway since it is a k-4 school. Maybe he will choose to go to the charter school the next year. I am also hoping to start my little one in kindergarten there year after next. I have been told that the k classes fill up fast and if you have an older sibling who goes there you get in! I already checked and they have room, so I have to go and fill out the paperwork. I hope this all works out! Of course I still have to drive ds #2 to and from school next year.... but that's okay. Whatever is best for the individual kid

I only have a couple of years until my dd is driving and she is already saving for a car! She is so responsible, I know I could trust her to pick up her brothers!
