Did you buy your Kindergartener a yearbook? I keep going back and fourth about whether or not i should buy my son a yearbook. He's only in Kindergarten however i might like having it.

What did you do....and if you didn't what year do you think you will or did you?

I didn't, and probably won't until they are in 5th grade (the last grade in our elem. school). I did buy oldest DD one last yr (3rd grade) but we were moving, and I wanted her to have some keepsake of all her friends. I guess I just don't get why the need one that young. My kids have a class picture with the kids names on it, they don't need it in a book too. JMO

Oh God!! I always hated that decision each year. Part of me (actually MOST of me) thinks it's so stupid in elem school. So several years I didn't. But our elem schools do this thing where on the last day of school all the kids let their friends and teachers sign their books. So after 2 years of my kids having to be humiliated with their scraps of paper for people to sign, I gave in and started buying them. Think they're dumb...but I just bite the bullet. HTH

I appreciate having all four years of my high school yearbooks but do I really want to saddle my DD with THIRTEEN books? I mean really! If I buy her kindergarten yearbook shouldn't I just keep going? Then I think of my GF who has more than one child. She would end up with so many yearbooks she'd have to buy another floor to ceiling bookcase.

I decided 'no'.

Love yearbooks! I buy one for each of my kids, every year. My Mom still has all our yearbooks growing up and they're a hoot to look at!

The ones at our school, for grade K-6 are "paperback". It's the size of Time Magazine...no space issues! Everyone is different...

I did but I just love to look at them and see the kids that I hear so much about. The year book thing was a big question mark for me too. I agree 13 years worth sounds like a nightmare. I remember when my mother packed up all of our yearbooks and sent them with us. I wound up looking through them and then tossing them. I got rid of a lot of stuff that at the time I thought was soo important. My senior year memories and such. I just hate clutter. I guess I am not a sentimental person. Is that terrible?
