Hello everyone! I'm Nicole, married to Mike who is in the Army. We are stationed at Ft. Hood. It will be 12 years in October for Mike. He's been to Korea, Iraq twice and now leaving for Turkey next week. Will be gone for a year. Hopefully when he gets back, we'll get stationed somewhere else. I've been in Killeen since we've been together & I want to see something different!! LOL We had orders for Brussels, Belgium and Naples, Italy, but they got cancelled! I'm hoping something overseas will be open or will try for something on the east coast.
I also come from a military family. My dad retired from the AF & both of my grandpas retired from the AF. My brother was in the Army for 4 years. He went to Germany & Saudi Arabia. I have a BIL in the Navy.......just got back from Guam & they're stationed in Norfolk, Va.

Hello all!
I'm the proud wife of an Army SGT and SAHM to four fabulous mutant children. *grins* Our kids are currently aged 18 to age 3. We've got 3 birthdays for the 3 youngest kids within the next 3 weeks, so I'm currently up to my eyeballs in birthday party planning!
Our oldest son is finishing his split option training with the Army and will be leaving us next month to start his military career.
As for me, I'm a transplanted Southeast Alaskan girl who met her now-hubby on a dare. *grins* I was going thru a nasty divorce, and my best friend dared me to chat up a soldier on one of the online dating services. That was 5 years ago, and I'm so glad I took that dare! *lol*
DH has been enlisted for 15 years, almost completely served here in Ft. Eustis, VA. He's getting out soon, due to serious disabilities that have forced him to medically retire.

Hey Girls,

My I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Niki and I have a 3 year old and a 15 month old. We currently live in Washington State.

My husband just signed his papers today to go into the Army. He was in the Navy for 4 years, and then has been out for 3 years. We missed the stability, insurance, and Rob (my husband) really missed being in. It doesnt quite seem real yet, its strange

I will be moving to my grandparents house to stay with them, and have a bit of support about 3 hours from where we are now, here in Washington. Rob leaves on the 18th of September, and has to go boot camp again. He will be gone 6 months for all his training. He is going 18x, and if he doesnt get selected for that....he will go 11b. So, this is a huge change for us...life changing. I am becoming a stay at home mom next week too with all this :happy dance:

I really am lookign to have some support from woman that understand and can be "a light" to all this, and not a downer. So, hopefully I can find that here!

Sorry for rambeling.....guess i had lots to say!!

Hi, I'm Donna, a 21 year old Marine wife. My husband has been in for a little over 3 years and is currently in Iraq for the second time. He's coming home soon though. He's stationed out of Camp Lejeune.

Hi Military Families!

My name is Stacey, I am a SAHM and I have been a military wife for 18 + years. ( and survived .. we are getting close to retirement and sooo looking forward to it!) My DH Is a SFC in the army, we are stationed at Fort Campbell Ky ( but live in TN). We have 4 wonderful kids ~ DS Justin 20 who is currently in basic training at Fort Jackson, DD Cassondra 16 in high school, DD Bethany almost 7 in 2nd grade and DS Jakob 4, the last of my tribe who starts kindergarten next year.

We have been stationed in Germany in the late 80's early 90's , Washington, Colorado, Washington (again), and now Kentucky. My DH has been to Korea 3 times Iraq in 91 and 03, Cuba and I am forgetting 2 Through "our" military career he has missed 9 anniversaries, countless birthdays and the first year of 3 of our kids. But I am a proud military spouse and wouldn't change a thing.

Both my grandfathers were in wwII, my Uncle was KIA in Korea in '52. My brother is retired army and now my Son is starting his career.

To all the military wives ... I salute you .. cuz WE have the toughest job in the military

My father was in the Air Force for 30, retired as a CMsgt. Then I joined the AF right out of high school. mET MY HUSBAND AT Kelly AFB, TX , we've been married for 18 years so far. I was lucky and didn't move much, growing up we only lived at Eglin AFB, FL, and Randolph AFB, TX. My dad went a few places but he didn't go overseas until after I joined up except for TDY's and one year tours but we stayed at the same base. I got out after 4 years and we (my husband and four children)now live in Terre Haute, IN. We don't move anywhere because he is now an Active duty national guard. It's nice because the kids can stay at the same school. I miss moving (even the little we did) because you get to see new places and make new friends.
