Hi, I'm Shelly. I just got out of the Air Force at the end of Dec and became a SAHM. I was in the service for almost 11 years. My husband is also Air Force. We met in a military class. And I'm very happy that he can be persistant because I didn't want to get involved with anyone else in the Military. And look at us now. We have been married for almost 4 years. We have a daughter from my previous marriege and one on the way. We have been stationed in Phoenix, South Korea, Germany and now Las Vegas. We have been all over the world and so has my 11 yr old DD. We have both been deployed to Iraq. Infact he deployed 2 months after I got back from my deployment. I do have to say Military life is very hard on relationships and families. That is a major reason I got out to stay home. He will still be gone a lot but we don't have to worry about me being gone at the same time.

I hope everyone has a good day.
Shelly

Hi,
I'm a Army wife and have been for 4.5 years. My husband has been gone over half our marriage. He's been to afghanistan and is currently in Iraq. Thanks to the 15 month tours he'll be home in August and has been gone since last may. Until I was married I hardly knew a thing about the Military. Now I've become so interested in it you would think I'm in the Army. We've been stationed in Alaska and Kansas, we're awaiting a decision from a Warrant Office board. If that's the case we'll be pcs'd to Alabama. Oh let me mention I'm living with my inlaws while my husband is gone (who are in Alabama)and I'll tell you what, I'll never move in with them again. I don't consider myself to be the average Army Wife either, I believe I'm a strong person at heart.

Hi, I am married to an air force JAG, we've been in the military for about 2 years now and it has been interesting. My DH was in for just over a year when he was deployed to Iraq, he did an awesome job there, by the way. I gave birth 2 weeks after he got back from officer training, 2 mos. after he joined the AF and moving to CO from New England. My life before this life was very stable and serene and now it feels like I'm floating around, never settled down. I miss my family alot. Not sure if this is the life for us, but it isn't bad.

I feel bad about all the military divorces that happen, 90% or something? I wonder why? That seems to be one of the most tragic things about the military life.

Hi, my name is Kimberly and my dh is a 1SG in the Army National Guard. He joined the Army right after high school. He spent 12 years active duty, and tried to get a civillian job when he got out, but he hated it! So he got a full time job with the Maine National Guard. He went to Iraq in 2004 and is supposed to go again in 2009, but I am praying that changes. We have three gorgeous boys and he has another gorgeous son from his first marriage. I love the military and will be lost when he retires.
