He never took me on one vacation after our honeymoon except for a business trip I took him on. I begged him to take me somewhere and get away. Now he took his girlfriend (excuse me, fiance according to my daughter) to mexico for a week. You feel like you are finally getting past the divorce and then feelings like this come up and it just chaps my hide.

This kind of thing drives me crazy too. I bugged him for years to do this and NOW he's going to do it. It has nothing to do with you though. Hard to remember when you get so angry. Hopefully your life is better without him now and you can focus on moving forward without him, not focus on what he is doing in his life. Much harder to actually do than to just say I know but do try. You can't change anything about him, you can only change you. Sorry he's such a turd.

That would piss me off too. But Ive done this to my ex. My bf and I went to Vegas for about 4 days last Jan. I know that it probably drove him crazy.

Dont let what he did get to you and dont let him know that it got to you. Maybe its a way to just make you feel bad. One day youll meet a nice man and will travel with him too and youll probably go to a better place than Mexico...who knows.

Be happy that youre free from the jerk and that he's going to be with this new chick. Maybe this will be their last trip, maybe hes just trying to show off for her.

Just move forward...HTH

I understand how you feel. My ex left after 25 years of marriage. We never took a honeymoon. We had never been anywhere by ourselves to spend the night the entire marriage. We have 2 kids together. He left me in Oct. and Feb of the next year he took his GF to Las Vegas for a week. I plotted how to kill him while he was gone. It hurt so bad he would take another woman he barely knew when he would not take me. I always called her slut, bitch or whore. He would tell me she had a name and I said not to me. It has been almost 11 years and I am over it now. You will get past it.

Feel proud that at least you taught him something. He just didn't like to listen. Take care of you now and take yourself on vacation!!! Just leave your old baggage at home.
