Are any of your kids wearing anything with the skull graphics on them? The stuff is everywhere, hard to avoid. I ask because the school has requested the stuff not be worn, and I've made Adam and Brandon not wear any of it, but when I picked them up from band practice yesterday, nearly ALL the kids had something with a skull on it, and they're far from Deadhead kids.

I personally have no issue with it, as long as it's just that...a skull...and nothing showing violence, etc. Adam's begging to wear a skull tie with his suit to his 8th grade prom, but I may put the brakes on that one just because of the tackiness factor.

It's a fad and Hollywood is making it big, making lots of money for the original store (the owner has lots of Hollywood friends) in LA. It's a fashion thing. But because the school perceives it as a negative, I wouldn't fight it in light of what it means in some circles. I hate them. But after yesterday, the school probably doesn't want anything like that being prevalent. You could always just ask them what their reasoning is.

I just dont let my kids wear that stuff...they look like typical kids just not with the skulls-not my thing.
