I have been thinking and if Steven gets a layover here near us (within 5 hour drive) on his way to out process with the marines. I am going to surprise him at the gate. If it is really close to home it will be just me. But if it is a drive then all 5 of us will be there.

I can not think about him being close to me and not be able to hug him. So I think I will pack our butts up in the van and take a road trip when he comes back. I have my ID and orders so we can go to the gate!

when dh was getting ready to leave to go to iraq he had to train five states over for 2 months. i packed a 7 month old and drove 12 hours each way TWICE when he had weekend breaks.

I knew you all would understand. I got the advice from someone to call the airport he flies into to make sure they will let us go back. Hell I will tell him to walk up to the luggage area! LOL
