Alec Baldwin's recorded tirade with dd

Got me thinking.

I agree that it is the kids who suffer when adults behave the way that they do.

And there is no excuse for Alec Baldwin's message to his dd.

But as I stated in that thread...it is also frustrating when things get blown out of proportion while going through a divorce.

My sister, who had just given birth to her second child, found out that her husband was having a long standing affair. So she punched him in the arm, threw some of the cards she had found from his "girlfriend" in the toilet (in front of him), and I am sure said a few choice words to him.

Guess what he did?? He filed a domestic violence injunction against her, took her kids away, one being a newborn, and tried to paint a very horrible picture in front of the judge, saying that she was threatening suicide and the whole works (all lies).

He almost got away with it.

Anyone else have a situation where things got "blown out of proportion" while going through your divorce...or a family member or friends divorce??

I agree with you that it's the kids who suffer. I just read another article where Alec Baldwin apologized and said he was just so frustrated. I guess HE SAYS Kim Basinger is trying to turn his dd against him, so they had court ordered times that he was allowed to talk to her, but when he calls he can never get ahold of her. I guess now his lawyers are pursuing how this got "leaked" (they obviously think Kim or her lawyers) since they're supposed to both not talk about it. It's just so sad. No matter what is happening he should not have talked to his dd that way. Frankly I'm not sure why he's blaming her instead of Kim. But at the same time, if my ex-spouse was constantly trying to turn my children against me, I'd be frustrated beyond belief too. It's just sad they can't be mature enough to do what's best for the child instead of both of them plotting how they can get at the other. So sad.....

I was accused of blowing things out of proportion, luckily I had witnesses - neighbors and his own sister to back up my claims. He totally denied any responsibility for anything that led us to divorce - it was all "my doing." He told the kids that i was the one who was tearing this family apart and "making him leave." The truth was the kids asked/begged me to get a divorce - and it was his choice made in front of the kids to move out.
Ugggggghhhhh
It was pure he** but worth every minute, we have been so much happier and peaceful without him in our daily lives.
