Can anyone explain how to french braid. I got a book and I have read it... slowly... out loud. There are pictures, and I swear to God I can count 12 fingers in there. Now I have a very sore and sour 5 yr old that know more foul words than a sailor. This is either a super secret girl thing, or I am just not cut out to use more than 1 finger at a time.

Lets see if I can explain it easily..

1. At the top of the head.. (or wherever you want to start the braid from) gather 3 ...uhh.. things of hair. lol Try to make each "thing" equal. You know what Im talking about.

2. Your going to gather more hair each time you braid.. so once you braid one strand over the other.. gather more hair from that side of the head and add it to the one you just brought over.. does that make ANY sense? LOL

I used to do it when my hair was LONG. I found it easier to do a reverse braid. Hard to explain, but the french part is teh same concept teh braid is just ontop of your scalp.

You forgot to mention that if you braid the "french braid " backwards you get a whole different look! LOL Now that really gets him messed up! Hey go find a beauty school and have them do it! Around here is like 5 bucks to have a student do your hair. This is one of the first things they learn too! GL-
I can only braid my own hair! BUT thats good since I only have BOYS!! LOL
