HI!

Does anyone have any good ideas on places to find decent swim suits?? DD is 12 years old. She has tried on about 100 suits this year and can't find anything. The junior sizes are either too big (even in the extra small) or are cut way too "hoochie" for me. She has tried on size 14 and the tops are too small and 16 the pants are too big. She really wants a 2 piece one....but it is so hard to find something that fits, doesn't look to babyish, doesn't have sparkles on it (ruled out all the limited too suits)...ugh!

SHe has seen some "roxy girl" suits on the internet....but I can't find any place that carrries them to try them on. I don't really want to buy a suit off the net...

Anyone else have a "tween" with swim wear issues???

Help!!!!

Oh gosh, I just read that you don't want to buy it online...

What about Gap? Nordstrom's? Macy's?

You might want to look at the specialty swim shops, too. Most of them have two-piece suits that you can buy as individual pieces. I ended up getting a couple of tankini tops that fit my larger chest and some board shorts that I could interchange with the tops. Just a couple of pieces have made some cute suits and I feel completely covered.

Target also sells their tops and bottom individually.

I just bought my dd a nike suit a few wks ago. The pieces are so stretchy that I think it would work for you. It's a two piece but not cut too small. HTH

I have problems finding my 9 year old bathing suits! She is 9 and is 5 foot tall and 120 pounds! I finally found her a one piece. She did try on those boy shorts and a tank top style. Those look cute on them.

Try limited 2 although they are expensive.

I know you mentioned not wanted to get it online but I have really good luck and really good deals on Landend overstocks. Other than that, Costco sometimes has good Speedo ones.
