....when their dad's birthday is?
Do you pay for gifts/cards for them to give to him for his birthday and Christmas?

I used to when they were younger, when they each turned 16 I gave them calenders with important dates on them and let them take on the responsibility of acknowledging the dates and getting gifts if they chose to. They both had jobs so I no longer needed to give them money for that.

I wasn't happy about it - especially since he never did the same for me but I never let on how I felt. I did it because I felt it was the right thing to do even if he didn't deserve it.

The first year I think I did....remind them and buy the gifts....after that it was up to his family. Their Grandparents (my ex's parents) live close so I figured they could take care of it.

Great Question!!
