I really can't complain about this one...BUT

Since my ex got back from his honeymoon we have gone back to our every other weekend schedule, well it just so happens that HIS weekend would fall on Mother's Day weekend, so he has offered to switch with us....GREAT.

Except the weekend he wants, is this weekend coming up....which happens to be OUR ANNIVERSARY, so we had made plans since we knew we had the "big kids" here to babysit.

He has offered to let them come over for a few hours...but that just means that we are "on a clock"....and not just be able to take our time knowing that they are going to bed at HOME...know what I mean??? Not that we would be out that late...but they are now expected somewhere else.

Why can't everything just be easy???? Why does it have to be so hard????

I know, I know I really can't complain.....at least he takes them and is involved. But we have NO other family around to rely on to babysit....Just frustrating.....thanks for letting me vent.....

Couldn't you hire a babysitter for just this one night? Or I'd just take him up on the few hours. You should be able to have a nice dinner in a few hours. Hope it works out.

Thank you aliadam!! I know it is not a big deal...just frustrating.

We actually have decided to do something with the baby on Sat. and then once she goes to bed...have a nice candlelight dinner at home on our good china, bottle of wine, etc...and watch a movie. (if we don't fall asleep..LOL). And then Sun night when the big kids do come home.....just run out to Chili's or something for an inexpensive dinner alone....

So, it works out GREAT after all....two dinners for the price of one...Kinda.

Glad it worked out, too. I can see where that would be frustrating, but it does sound like he is at least involved as you said. And, you get Mother's Day! It was sort of nice to give you the few hours, too. A lot of ex's I know wouldn't even do that on "their" weekend.
