She really struggles to have a BM, and she eats a ton of veggies and fruits and drinks many cups of water. I might have to go to the miralax, too. Ugh.

There really wasn't an exam or anything. She did look at his anal area but there was nothing of concern there. Riley has not had blood at all.
Jeannette if you see anything coming out of her bottom after she has a bowel movement i would take her in. For Riley it goes away about five minutes later and he really doesn't have a problem with the consistency of his poop.
Personally i think what was happening is his rectum would start to "pump" as he calls it....that swelling feeling and he would think it was more poop....then he would push and then sit there for a half hour thinking he had to do more poop......Thus causing the thing to get bigger. I don't think he has a problem with it being difficult to go.
I am going to continue to give him dried prunes and etc... but i don't know if it will make much difference. The timer seems to have worked well.
