Do any of you have daughters that suffer from what I call the Drama Queen syndrome? My dd is almost 6 & there are some days where everything is just a drama! I mean she can't get her socks on right, or for example this afternoon her swim lessons were canceled because it was storming so she had to cry & get all upset about it.
What really bothers me is when she is like this in public. This does not happen very often in public but when it does I get so embarrassed & when I say something to her about it I get that look from other people. You know the look that I am talking about.
I have noticed that she tends to be really bad when she is tired. Don't get me wrong my daughter is wonderful & I wouldn't trade her for the world, but don't know how she will be when she hits her teens. Look out world!

My dd wasn't that bad when she was small, but you're right...she turned into quite a drama queen for a few yrs during puberty. So I'm wishing you good luck in about 6 yrs.

Mine's not even 2 yet and she is such a diva! Everything seems heightened. Sometimes I feel like my son is, too, though. It's like he thrives on drama.

That is funny you say that about your son, because my ds is 2 & sometimes he will just throw a fit for no reason. Ever since he was a baby my husband has said that he is high maintenance. He just says that he is all boy & let me tell you he sure is! He wants to be very independent but then out of the blue we have our melt down!
Kids-ya gotta love 'em.

I don't think that dh will be ready for this time when it hits.

I understand. There have been times that both of mine have gone at it at the same time. One day when dh came home I locked myself in the bathroom for 15 minutes just for some peace & quiet. :good vibes

Add my dd to the list of drama queens. She's been like this since she took her first breath (even the doctor delivering her said he'd never had a baby come out of the womb crying). She's given many Academy Award winning performances during her lifetime. I certainly hope that our local high school has a theatrical department so she can have somewhere to focus all this drama.
